Q. How are articles scheduled for publication?
A. Once a manuscript is accepted for publication it is scheduled in the next available space in an upcoming issue. This is usually around 6 to 9 months after acceptance. Authors can expedite publication by providing prompt feedback during the editing process and making payment of the publication fee within 60 days.

Q. What does the author share publication amount include?
A. The author share publication amount of accepted papers is put toward part of the cost of publication, processing, detailed subediting, typesetting, copyediting, proofreading, and digital archiving of an author’s own paper in SBP Journal.

Q. When is payment for my manuscript due?
A. We request that authors pay the publication costs within 4 weeks of acceptance to ensure efficient processing. Manuscripts are sent for final preparation for publication only once payment is received.

Q. Is there a way to get my article online earlier than the official publication date?
A. Yes. If authors would like advance online publication (a “preprint”) of their manuscript, we offer this service through Ingenta Connect Fast Track. A PDF proof can be finalized and available to view on Ingenta within 2 months of final acceptance of your revised manuscript. Preprint articles are available open access and have active DOIs that transfer automatically to the later official publication within a journal issue. Authors can request this at any time after acceptance by writing to the editors. Note that the publication invoice must be paid in full, as well as a US$400 administration fee.

Q. How can I reduce the author share publication amount I need to pay?
A. The length of a manuscript may be reduced, bearing in mind that all parts of the manuscript, including author information, acknowledgements, abstract, keywords, article highlights, main text, references, and tables and figures, are included in the final word count. See Publication Costs

Q. How do I make a payment for my manuscript?
A. Secure credit card or PayPal payment is possible on our website or an international bank transfer may be made.

Q. How long is the manuscript review process?
